HMSHost greets summer travelers with more choices to keep fueled; features sustainable packaging and a commitment to food donation

BETHESDA, Md., 2019-Jul-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Summer travel season is in full-swing and new convenient grab-and-go food choices have landed at North American airports and at motorways across the United States. From nutrient-packed portable sandwiches to superfood salads, global restaurateur HMSHost provides travelers low-guilt dining choices through its newly revamped Fresh Attractions offerings to keep them feeling good throughout their journey.

The Fresh Attractions grab-and-go line was completely revamped this summer to bring new food offerings tailored exclusively for travelers with on-the-go convenience of portable choices. There are more than two dozen choices to meet the needs of busy travelers. Some new takes on travelers preferred to-go choices include:

  • Ham and Swiss Slider with apricot preserves served on four separate potato buns – perfect to share, or to enjoy some at the gate and save later for the flight
  • Chicken Apple Crunch with fire braised chicken, red cabbage, red apple, topped with dill mayonnaise on multi-grain bread
  • Beet and Goat Cheese Salad – among the many new salad options with a twist this salad features pickled beets, crumbled goat cheese, and walnuts
  • Turkey Cranberry Brie – a new take on travelers’ favorite turkey sandwich with brie cheese, arugula, and cranberry chutney on a telera roll

Fresh Attractions new transparent packaging includes color-coded nutritional labels to clearly identify ingredients and nutrition details to help travelers select the right choices for them. We’re also evolving to include more sustainable innovations in smarter food packaging.

Fresh Attractions features The BOTTLEBOX® salad containers which are made from recycled PET beverage bottles that help further reduce our carbon footprint. For each salad sold, two plastic bottles are removed from a landfill and can be recycled again. All Fresh Attractions sandwiches are now sold in eco-friendly paper bags with a window that keeps the sandwiches fresh without posing a threat to the environment.

Fresh Attractions food is made daily and any surplus is donated to local organizations to help feed the local communities in which we operate.
