The expansion aligns with BGS’s broader strategy to grow its presence in Central and Eastern Europe while supporting airline partners with consistent, high-quality services across multiple locations.

(PRESS RELEASE) VILNIUS, Lithuania, 2026-Apr-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Baltic Ground Services has expanded its partnership with LOT Polish Airlines, strengthening cooperation across several airports in Central and Eastern Europe and reinforcing its role as a key service provider for the airline’s regional operations.

Under the renewed agreements, Baltic Ground Services will continue delivering aircraft fueling services at Riga and Ostrava, where the partnership has been in place since 2021. In addition to maintaining these established operations, the collaboration is now extending to Tallinn, where BGS will begin supporting LOT as a new customer, marking a further step in its regional growth strategy.

The cooperation builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies, particularly in Vilnius, where BGS has been providing ground handling services to LOT since 2005. The airline operates multiple daily flights between Vilnius and Warsaw, demonstrating the consistency and scale of its presence in the region and the importance of reliable ground and fueling services to support these operations.

Across the three key fueling locations—Riga, Ostrava, and Tallinn—the partnership is expected to cover an annual fuel volume of approximately 6,500 tonnes. This reflects the operational scale of LOT’s activities supported by BGS and highlights the growing importance of efficient fueling services in maintaining flight schedules and operational continuity.

Vitalis Dudys emphasized that the extension of the agreement reflects the reliability and consistency of BGS’s services across multiple stations, as well as the company’s focus on building long-term partnerships. From LOT’s perspective, Mateusz Dziudziel highlighted the importance of high-quality fueling services in ensuring safe and uninterrupted aircraft operations, while Sebastian Jadczak noted that dependable ground handling remains essential to delivering a seamless passenger experience.

The expansion into Tallinn aligns with BGS’s broader strategy to strengthen its fueling network across key airports in Central and Eastern Europe, enabling it to support airline partners more comprehensively as they grow their operations across the region.

Overall, the renewed and expanded cooperation underscores the importance of reliable aviation services in sustaining airline performance, while also reflecting continued growth opportunities in the Central and Eastern European aviation market.
