(PRESS RELEASE) DUBLIN, 2026-Apr-30 — /Travel PR News/ — Aer Lingus is expanding its summer 2026 schedule with the introduction of three new short-haul routes, enhancing travel options for passengers across Ireland. The airline will begin operating flights from Cork to Nice, as well as from Dublin to Oslo and Asturias in northern Spain, marking the launch of these new connections at the start of the summer season.
The expansion coincides with the return of several popular seasonal destinations, including routes from Dublin to Pisa, Catania, Nantes, Santorini, and Corfu, offering travellers a diverse mix of cultural, coastal, and leisure destinations across Europe. These additions reflect continued demand for flexible holiday travel options during the peak summer period.
On its long-haul network, Aer Lingus is also reinstating its Dublin to Denver service for the summer. The route provides direct access to Colorado’s capital, a destination known for its proximity to the Rocky Mountains and its appeal to travellers interested in outdoor activities and scenic landscapes.
Further route development is planned throughout the season, with new services from Dublin to Montpellier launching on 19 May and from Cork to Santiago starting on 1 June. Additional regional connectivity will be introduced through a new service to Inverness in Scotland, operated by Emerald Airlines, as well as a new route from Dublin to Tours in France beginning in early June.
Aer Lingus is also strengthening its transatlantic offering, with a total of 24 routes planned between Ireland and North America in 2026. This includes recently launched services to Raleigh-Durham and an upcoming route to Pittsburgh, further reinforcing the airline’s Dublin Hub strategy, which is designed to provide seamless connections between North America and Europe.
Reid Moody, Chief Strategy and Planning Officer at Aer Lingus, stated that the expanded schedule provides customers with greater flexibility and a wider range of travel options for both short-haul and long-haul journeys. He highlighted that the combination of new routes and returning destinations reflects the airline’s commitment to meeting growing demand for travel across different regions.
