EDITION Hotels Marks 10 Years in Greater China With Storytelling Journey Across Shanghai, Sanya and Dali

(NEWS) SHANGHAI, China, 2026-Jun-22 — /Travel PR News/ — Luxury hotel brands are finding new ways to reach culturally engaged travellers beyond traditional advertising, with short-form video and social-first storytelling becoming part of how destinations and properties are presented to younger audiences.

EDITION Hotels in Greater China has launched An Invitation from E, a six-episode original mini-drama created with Fantastic Man China. According to a press release published by Marriott International, the series marks EDITION’s ten-year presence in Greater China and connects three destinations in the brand’s regional portfolio: Shanghai, Sanya and Dali.

The series follows two characters, Ah-Fan and Xiao Song, as they pursue a mysterious figure known only as “E.” Filmed across The Shanghai EDITION, The Sanya EDITION and the newly opened The Dali EDITION, the project uses each destination as part of the story rather than simply as a backdrop.

The launch also introduces The Dali EDITION, the third EDITION hotel in Greater China. Located near the Cangshan Mountains and overlooking Erhai Lake, the property brings the brand’s design-led hospitality approach to one of China’s most culturally distinctive leisure destinations.

By combining hotel settings, destination storytelling and a mini-drama format, EDITION is positioning the campaign as more than a property showcase. The project reflects a wider shift in luxury hospitality marketing, where brands are using entertainment, fashion media partnerships and social platforms to create narratives that audiences can watch, share and engage with.

An Invitation from E premiered on June 17, 2026, across Marriott Bonvoy Greater China and Fantastic Man channels, including RED, Weibo and WeChat.
