Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley to Host 2026 Terry Fox Run in Menlo Park

Now entering its fourth year in Silicon Valley, the Terry Fox Run has become an important community event, attracting participants from across the San Francisco Bay Area to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.

The connection between Four Seasons and Terry Fox is especially significant.
Four Seasons founder Isadore Sharp was a close friend of Terry Fox and his family and helped establish the Terry Fox Run to carry forward Terry’s vision of a world without cancer.
Today, that legacy continues through thousands of Terry Fox Runs held around the world each year.
A special highlight of this year’s Silicon Valley event will be the participation of Darrell Fox, Terry Fox’s brother and a longtime advocate for cancer research.
On Saturday, 26 September 2026, Darrell Fox will join Georges Safi, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, for a special community bike ride ahead of the main weekend event.
The Terry Fox Run will take place the following day, on Sunday, 27 September 2026, welcoming runners, walkers, families and supporters of all ages.
Participation in the Silicon Valley Terry Fox Run has steadily increased over the years.
The event has also been supported by several Four Seasons properties across Northern California, including Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, Four Seasons Hotel Embarcadero and Four Seasons Hotel Napa Valley.
Last year’s event recorded its largest turnout to date, reflecting growing regional support for Terry Fox’s mission.
Food Truck for Cancer Research
Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley will also bring back its popular Food Truck for Cancer Research in support of the Terry Fox Run.
Located at the race site, the food truck will offer chef-prepared favourites made possible through the sponsorship of food and labour by Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco.
All proceeds from food truck sales will directly support cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, known as MSK.
Participants, spectators and supporters are invited to enjoy breakfast, lunch and refreshments while contributing to the cause.
The initiative reflects Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Terry Fox Foundation and advancing cancer research through community engagement.
Terry Fox became a global symbol of courage and determination in 1980 after losing his right leg to osteogenic sarcoma and setting out on his Marathon of Hope across Canada.
Running the equivalent of a marathon each day on a prosthetic leg, he covered 5,373 kilometres, or 3,339 miles, before cancer forced him to stop.
His dream of funding cancer research continues through the annual Terry Fox Run, which has raised hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide.
All proceeds from the Silicon Valley Terry Fox Run will support cancer research through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
