(NEWS) MANILA, Philippines, 2026-Aug-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Marco Polo Ortigas Manila is marking the Mid-Autumn Festival with a new signature mooncake collection from Lung Hin, the hotel’s award-winning Cantonese restaurant.
The collection is designed around one of the most familiar traditions of the season: sharing mooncakes with family, friends, colleagues and business partners as a gesture of reunion, gratitude and good fortune.
Known in Chinese as Zhongqiu Jie, the Mid-Autumn Festival remains one of the most meaningful celebrations in Chinese communities around the world. It is traditionally observed through family gatherings, moon gazing, lantern displays and the exchange of mooncakes, with the round pastries symbolising unity and togetherness.
According to details released by Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, Lung Hin’s 2026 mooncake collection features four classic flavours: White Lotus with Salted Egg Yolk, Red Bean with Salted Egg Yolk, Ube with Salted Egg Yolk and Mixed Nuts.
The inclusion of ube gives the collection a local touch while keeping the overall presentation close to the Cantonese mooncake tradition. Each flavour is positioned around a balance of delicate sweetness, richness and familiar festive indulgence.
Presentation is also central to the collection. Lung Hin’s mooncakes are offered in an elegant handbag-inspired box, using rich red and warm gold tones with Chinese-inspired details. The packaging is clearly designed for gifting, whether for family celebrations, corporate gestures or seasonal hospitality.
Guests may purchase individual mooncakes for Php 688. Gift boxes are also available, with a Box of Four priced at Php 3,188 and a Box of Six priced at Php 4,688.
The mooncakes are now available for pre-order until September 25, 2026, through Lung Hin or Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s online store. Guests are encouraged to order in advance, particularly for gifting and larger seasonal requirements.
For Lung Hin, the collection reinforces its role as one of the hotel’s key dining destinations, combining Cantonese culinary tradition with the polish expected from a five-star urban hotel setting.
For guests, the appeal is both cultural and practical. The mooncakes serve as a festive centrepiece for family gatherings, but also as a refined seasonal gift for clients, partners and colleagues during a festival closely associated with reunion and goodwill.
Marco Polo Ortigas Manila is located in Ortigas Center, one of Metro Manila’s major commercial districts. The hotel offers 316 rooms and suites, dining venues, event spaces, a spa, an indoor infinity pool and fitness facilities. It has also previously received Forbes Five-Star recognition from Forbes Travel Guide.
The hotel is part of Marco Polo Hotels, a Wharf Hotels brand, and is a member of Global Hotel Alliance, whose GHA DISCOVERY loyalty programme connects independent hotel brands across international markets.
In a city where hotel dining often plays an important role in seasonal celebrations, Lung Hin’s Mid-Autumn collection offers a familiar but carefully presented way to honour tradition. It is a gift built around heritage, hospitality and the simple act of sharing something meaningful under the autumn moon.
