Marriott International on Hurricane Matthew: Our hotels in Jamaica, Haiti, and Cuba have reported no direct impact from the storm

Bethesda, Md., 2016-Oct-10 — /Travel PR News/ —  Marriott International, Inc. is closely monitoring the track of Hurricane Matthew and the potential impact on our hotels in its path.  We have established hurricane plans and our hotel teams are well-versed in implementing these plans.  In addition, we are in close contact with local authorities and, as always, will take guidance and direction from them if the situation warrants. The safety and security of our guests and associates is always a top priority at Marriott.

There have been no reports of guest or associate injuries. While we are still assessing the full extent of impact on each hotel, early reports indicate relatively minor damage.

Our hotels in the Caribbean have reported no direct impact from the storm and are open and accepting reservations.

Updates regarding the storm’s impact on our hotels will be provided on www.news.marriott.com as information becomes available. For information regarding reservations, please call (800) 228-9290. Those in countries outside of the United States seeking information about the impact of the storm should call the Marriott International toll-free number in their country.
