Budapest, Hungary, 2015-7-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today a new simplified process for flight changes. Under the new simplified process, passengers can change the date or the routing of their flight by paying a change fee of just 50 percent* of the fare they paid for their original ticket, plus any difference in fares and baggage fees between the original and the new flight.

Passengers on Wizz Air, unlike on some other airlines, already have the option of changing the date or the routing of their flight online, via the reservations call center or with airport agents. Passengers can avoid the change fee altogether by selecting the Plus Fare when doing their original booking or by purchasing the WIZZ Flex service for just €10 per flight as an extra to the Basic Fare. Both the Plus Fare and Wizz Flex allow an unlimited amount of flight changes.

Wizz Air spokesman Daniel de Carvalho said: “While many economy products don’t allow flight changes, Wizz Air’s low fares are flexible and bookings can be adapted if the travel needs of our customers change. We are introducing this simplified fee model for flight changes as part of our constant development of better services and processes to give our customers more choice, working to ensure the best travel experience from the time they book until the end of their journey.”

* Minimum fee of €10 and maximum fee of €60
