Vivid Sydney 2026 Expands Harbour Viewing Experiences With Premium Dinner Cruises

Since launching in 2009, Vivid Sydney has expanded into one of the Southern Hemisphere’s best-known winter tourism events, drawing visitors from across Australia and overseas. As attendance numbers have increased, so too have the crowds surrounding key viewing areas around the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, and Circular Quay.

For many visitors, cruises now offer a way to experience the festival without navigating dense pedestrian traffic while also providing constantly shifting views of the installations from the water.

Clearview positions its experience specifically around visibility. Unlike traditional harbour vessels where passengers often move between enclosed interiors and open decks, the cruise operates aboard a glass-wrapped dining vessel designed with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic harbour views throughout the journey.

The vessel also includes an open Sky Deck, allowing passengers to move outdoors for unobstructed views of the skyline and harbour installations during the cruise.

On six evenings during the festival — May 28 and 29, and June 4, 5, 11, and 12 — passengers are also expected to witness scheduled fireworks displays above the harbour in addition to the light installations. Alongside the visual experience, the cruise includes a four-course dinner service, combining waterfront dining with the festival atmosphere.
