CHICAGO, 2015-8-7 — /Travel PR News/ — The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Concessions Department will host – Midway Airport Industry Day on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the UIC Forum at 725 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Chicago.
Interested businesses and entrepreneurs who will find the most value in attending the event include but are not limited to: food and beverage specialty retail, airport and family lounges, duty free, convenience retail, automated vending, and service industry businesses and suppliers.
“The purpose of this forum is to inform the business community about the Midway Redevelopment program and highlight key goals of an important project for the City’s future,” said Ginger S. Evans, Commissioner, CDA. “Midway International Airport is a significant economic driver in Chicago, and this is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of the largest project at the airport in more than a decade. We expect businesses to bring their best and most innovative work to the table.”
The Industry Day event will detail the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, outline procurement requirements and the procurement process, and discuss Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) participation.
