(IN SHORT) The San Francisco Airport Commission has approved a resolution to rename the International Terminal at SFO in honor of the late Senator and former San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein. The decision comes after a nomination was submitted by The Dianne Feinstein 100-plus Committee, citing compelling reasons for the tribute. Feinstein’s significant contributions include leading negotiations for a transformative lease agreement with airlines, advocating for the extension of BART to SFO, and providing support for various airport improvements and safety measures. SFO will collaborate with the committee to plan the implementation of this renaming in a manner that reflects Senator Feinstein’s legacy.
