LONDON, 2015-7-21 — /Travel PR News/ — The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is pleased to confirm the appointment of Richard Moriarty as its new Consumers and Markets Director and Deputy Chief Executive.
Richard, who has previously held senior positions at the CAA, is currently the Chief Executive the Legal Services Board. He will take up his new post in early 2016 and will assume responsibility for the CAA’s economic regulation, competition, consumer protection and consumer enforcement activity. He will also become the CAA Deputy Chief Executive working closely with CEO, Andrew Haines, helping to lead the organisation through the next phase of its development.
Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Haines, Chief Executive of the CAA, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Richard back to the CAA. He made an excellent contribution to the organisation during his previous time here and returns at a pivotal and exciting time. He will lead a new directorate that will bring together the full range of our consumer focused activity and develop our efforts that are aimed at protecting UK consumers as effectively as possible. Richard brings a wealth of experience to this new role and we look forward to welcoming him as a Group Director and Deputy Chief Executive.”
