(PRESS RELEASE) Doha, Qatar, 2024-Dec-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club and Marriott Bonvoy have strengthened their partnership, offering Privilege Club members an exciting new benefit that enhances their global travel options. Starting today, members of Qatar Airways Privilege Club with a Marriott Bonvoy account can convert their Avios into Marriott Bonvoy points at a two-to-one ratio. This groundbreaking initiative is the first of its kind in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions, providing Privilege Club members with greater flexibility in using their Avios for stays across Marriott Bonvoy’s expansive portfolio of over 30 brands and 10,000 destinations worldwide.
To convert Avios to Marriott Bonvoy points, members need only log into their Privilege Club account via the Qatar Airways app or website, navigate to the Marriott Bonvoy partner page, and select the amount of Avios they wish to convert. A minimum of 1,000 Avios is required for each transaction, making it an easy and convenient way to unlock more travel rewards.
This new feature offers Privilege Club members an even wider range of options for spending their Avios. Members can now use their points to enjoy complimentary stays at some of Marriott Bonvoy’s most prestigious brands, including W Hotels, JW Marriott, Autograph Collection, Westin, and Moxy Hotels.
Thomas Vadakedath, Senior Vice President of Loyalty at Qatar Airways, expressed excitement over the expanded partnership: “We are thrilled to expand the relationship between Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Marriott Bonvoy. The partnership between Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Marriott Bonvoy began in 2011 and has since offered members the ability to collect Avios when staying at Marriott Bonvoy hotels and convert points into Avios. This new Avios-to-Bonvoy conversion feature builds on that legacy, providing even greater access to Marriott’s portfolio of hotels and creating more opportunities for members to enjoy luxury experiences.
Through Avios, members can now explore over 30 Marriott brands in cities across Qatar Airways’ extensive network of over 170 destinations worldwide.
