(PRESS RELEASE) BANGKOK, Thailand, 2026-May-8 — /Travel PR News/ — Dusit International executive Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk has been honoured with the Thailand Meetings Leadership Award at the inaugural Thailand MICE Legacy Awards 2026, recognising her long-standing contribution to the development of Thailand’s meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector.
The award was presented during MICE Day 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok on 29 April and was organised by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. The recognition highlights individuals who have played a significant role in strengthening Thailand’s position as an international destination for business events and professional gatherings.
Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk currently serves as Vice President – Operations (Central & Southern Thailand) and Government & Business Relations at Dusit International, while also holding the position of President of the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association for the 2025–2026 term.
According to organisers, the award acknowledges her more than three decades of involvement in Thailand’s MICE industry, including her contributions to industry collaboration, international promotion of Thailand’s business events sector, and the long-term development of TICA, where she has been involved since its early years.
Drawing on extensive experience in international hospitality and tourism, Tantiprasertsuk has worked closely with stakeholders across government, hospitality, tourism, and business events to support the continued growth and professionalisation of Thailand’s MICE ecosystem.
The recognition also reflects the broader role hospitality leaders increasingly play in supporting national tourism strategies, industry cooperation, mentorship, and long-term sector development beyond their individual organisations.
Speaking after receiving the award, Tantiprasertsuk said the recognition reflected the collective efforts of many individuals across Thailand’s hospitality and business events industries who have worked together to strengthen the country’s global standing. She added that the values behind the award closely align with Dusit International’s long-term commitment to supporting Thailand’s tourism and hospitality development.
Chanin Donavanik, Group CEO and Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dusit International, said Thailand’s tourism and MICE sectors have historically progressed through close collaboration between public and private sector leaders. He noted that industry development depends heavily on individuals willing to contribute beyond their own organisations to help strengthen the broader hospitality and tourism ecosystem.
The Thailand MICE Legacy Awards were established by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau to honour individuals, pioneers, and industry leaders whose work has contributed to shaping Thailand’s MICE sector over several decades. The awards recognise contributions across meetings, conventions, exhibitions, tourism promotion, and wider business events development.
The award ceremony was presided over by Napintorn Srisunpang, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, who presented the Thailand Meetings Leadership Award to Tantiprasertsuk during the event in Bangkok.
