London, 2016-Dec-09 — /Travel PR News/ — Nicole Scherzinger and YolanDa Brown have been confirmed to line up British Airways’ VIP charter flight to Mardi Gras to launch its new route to New Orleans.

The musicians will perform exclusively to 150 guests for its inaugural flight departing Heathrow on February 24, 2017.

Packages for the VIP trip of a lifetime, are still available to bid on exclusively through eBay, which include direct return flights, three night’s accommodation at one of three hotel options, transfers and Mardi Gras grandstand parade tickets.

The deadline has been extended to 10pm on Sunday 11 December, with 10% of all auction bookings going towards Flying Start– the airline’s charity partnership with Comic Relief.

Nicole Scherzinger, said: “”WOW. I mean, who wouldn’t want to celebrate at 40,000 ft en route to Mardi Gras. It’s going to be one fun flight, and I can’t wait to get the party started!”

As well as the live in-flight entertainment, guests will be treated to a New Orleans inspired Creole menu and shake signature cocktails with mixologists ‘flaring’ on board.

Jazz artist YolanDa Brown, said: “New Orleans is known for its jazz roots – even the airport is named after Louis Armstrong! It’s a real honour to be involved in such an exciting launch.”

From March 27, 2017 British Airways will launch a four times a week service from Heathrow and will be the only airline flying direct between Europe and the Louisiana city.

The charter will depart Heathrow at 10 am on February 24, arriving into Louis Armstrong International Airport at 2 pm, with the return flight departing New Orleans at 11.25 pm on February 27 and arriving in to Heathrow at 2.10 pm the following day.

New Orleans, also known as ‘The Big Easy’, is famous for jazz, the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Creole cuisine and it’s annual Mardi Gras celebration.
