220-Room Hotel Scheduled to Open in 2015
2012-08-08 — /travelprnews.com/ — As Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) continues its rapid expansion across Eastern Europe, the company today announced the signing of a new hotel in Russia – the 220-room Voronezh Marriott Hotel. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2015 and will operate under a management agreement with Ojsc Tsum-Voronezh.

Voronezh, located 500 kilometres south of Moscow, is a regional business hub where aviation, logistics and manufacturing are the mainstay industries. Tourism to the city is increasing given the city’s relative proximity to Moscow on the main transport route, coupled with an attractive city centre, lovely parks and public squares, and multitude of theatres, cinemas, monuments and churches.
Located in downtown Voronezh on Prospekt Revolyutsii, the hotel will occupy a prime commercial location as part of a new development accommodating shops, office space and residential apartments. Prospekt Revolyutsii is the epicentre of Voronezh life; a historic avenue lined with beautiful buildings and bustling with cafés, restaurants and shops.
With 660 square metres of flexible meeting space, including a column-free ballroom, and a dedicated business centre, the hotel should prove popular with the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions market. Leisure facilities will include a health club with fitness centre, sauna, steam room and spa treatment rooms.
