(PRESS RELEASE) KIFISIA, Greece, 2026-Jun-5 — /Travel PR News/ — AEGEAN is continuing its investment in the future of aviation with the launch of a new cycle of its Aircraft Engineer Training Scholarship Programme, aimed at young people who want to build a career in aircraft maintenance engineering.

The programme is designed to provide selected candidates with the specialist knowledge, technical training and practical experience needed to enter one of aviation’s most demanding and highly skilled professions. Applications are open until 22 June.

Launched in 2022, the scholarship programme forms part of AEGEAN’s long-term commitment to developing aviation talent in Greece and strengthening the country’s technical expertise in aircraft maintenance. Through the new cycle, 20 candidates will be selected to take part in a comprehensive 24-month training programme that combines classroom-based learning with hands-on professional experience.

The training will be delivered in collaboration with the Olympic Air Maintenance Training Organization, a recognised aviation training provider. Participants will receive theoretical instruction alongside practical on-the-job training at AEGEAN’s new Technical Base, giving them direct exposure to aircraft maintenance operations and preparing them for the requirements of the B1.1 Category Aircraft Maintenance Licence under Part-66.

AEGEAN will cover 50% of the tuition fees for participants admitted to the scholarship programme. In addition, the three highest-performing graduates will receive further financial support based on their academic results, with awards covering 100%, 75% or 50% of their tuition fees respectively.

The programme also offers a clear pathway into employment. After obtaining their licences, graduates will have the opportunity to join AEGEAN’s team and begin their professional careers at AEGEAN Technics, supporting the airline’s aircraft maintenance operations and broader technical capabilities.

By combining education, practical training and direct employment opportunities, AEGEAN aims to help young people enter the aviation industry with strong technical foundations and real career prospects. The initiative also supports the development of skilled aircraft engineers at a time when the aviation sector continues to require specialised maintenance professionals.

Candidates interested in applying for the Aircraft Engineer Training Scholarship Programme can submit their applications through the relevant form on AEGEAN’s website until Monday, 22 June. Further details on the programme’s terms and conditions are available on the official programme page, while applicants may also contact AEGEAN by email at engineerscholarships@aegeanair.com or by phone at +30 210 3550680 from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 15:00.
