2012-11-03 — /travelprnews.com/ — Finavia has appointed Liisa Sallinen as the new Airport Manager at Oulun Airport, starting from 1 November. Sallinen moves to the position from within Finavia. She has previously worked as the Airport Manager at Kuusamo Airport. Sallinen also has considerable experience of developing and implementing airport services at Helsinki Airport.
”Liisa Sallinen has solid expertise in developing services. During the time she worked as Airport Manager at Kuusamo, the service processes, operative activities and efficiency developed positively. We believe that with her management we can also take improvements even further in Oulu,” says Finavia Director Joni Sundelin.
Oulu Airport is the second largest airport in Finavia’s network of airports. On 1 November, Finavia announced a plan to continue developing the airport with an additional investment of EUR 2.6 million aimed at improving services for departing passengers.
”Oulu Airport has developed rapidly during recent years. It is great to have a chance to ensure with various actors that the airport’s renewed facilities will be fully utilised to increase passenger service quality and cost-efficiency. I’m also glad that Finavia continues to invest in Oulu Airport. The departure hall has not been as functional as it could be, but during next year’s investments we can improve that too,” says Liisa Sallinen, new Airport Manager at Oulu Airport.
