Fans join in grand opening celebration; HMSHost’s fourth Sammy’s location
CLEVELAND, OH, 2014-5-28 — /Travel PR News/ — Travelers at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport will now be able to experience the city’s rock and roll culture without ever leaving the airport, at Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill, a new restaurant opened by HMSHost, AIRMALL and Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar. Sammy himself joined representatives from HMSHost, AIRMALL and the airport last evening for a grand opening celebration of the new restaurant, located in Concourse A, with a ribbon cutting and VIP reception.
“What could be more appealing to travelers than combining great music and dining? With a menu developed from the recipes of some of my favorite friends and celebrity chefs, and the ambience of a beach vacation, travelers will be able to relax and unwind before their flight,” said Sammy Hagar. “Working with HMSHost to develop Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill has been an unparalleled positive experience.”
“We have had such an exciting partnership with Sammy Hagar with the opening of Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill,” said HMSHost Senior Director of Business Development Bryan Loden. “This is our fourth Sammy’s location and we’ve found that travelers love what Sammy brings to the airport—great food, fun music and a relaxing beach atmosphere. We are confident that Cleveland travelers will agree.”
Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill at Cleveland Airport welcomes travelers with fun, vibrant colors and an electric atmosphere, just like a sunny day at the beach. Highlights of Sammy Hagar’s and Van Halen’s rock ‘n’ roll fame, such as guitars and musical memorabilia, along with surfboards and palm trees, adorn the walls and ceilings, and with surf inspired tunes in the background, combine to make this restaurant the hot spot to be while awaiting a flight.
The menu adds even more fun with beach and music-themed menu dishes such as Baja Seafood Bisque, Hall of Fame Carnitas, and Walleye Tacos. Early travelers can also kick off their trip with mouth-watering breakfast dishes such as the Los Cabos Omelet.
“We welcome Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill to the AIRMALL,” said Brandon A. Blaylock, President and CEO, AIRMALL USA. “The Rock and Rock Hall of Fame inductee has as much passion for food and cooking as he does for singing. Our Cleveland team wanted to bring something fresh and exciting to the airport. With this new addition, travelers can enjoy a festive island experience year-round.”
“We’re pleased to welcome a true original to the airport,” said Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Director Ricky Smith. Northeast Ohio travelers are in for a treat with Sammy’s unique island fare and upbeat service and ambience. The new restaurant complements the exciting mix of eateries available at the airport.”
Sammy Hagar will donate his profits from this restaurant to Cleveland area food banks and children’s charities through the Hagar Family Foundation.
