CDA and HMSHost announce the grand openings of Burger Federation and Starbucks at O’Hare International Airport

CHICAGO, Il, 2019-Feb-25 — /Travel PR News/ — The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) and HMSHost are pleased to announce the grand openings of two new concessions at O’Hare International Airport: Burger Federation and Starbucks. The addition of these two internationally known food and beverage brands will bring O’Hare travelers more options on the newly-built L Concourse extension at Terminal 3 of O’Hare.

Burger Federation brings international excitement and local roots with its cutting-edge casual dining experience and a keen focus on quality and taste. With a presence in 145 airports in 28 countries, Burger Federation offers travelers handcrafted specialty burgers including the French Connection; the Baja Crunch; Chicago Classic; and even a Classic Chicago Dog.

The new Starbucks location in the L concourse is the 18th Starbucks at O’Hare, the proud home to the most Starbucks locations in a U.S. airport. Widely-known for its coffee, Starbucks also offers a wide selection of premium teas, fine pastries and other delectable treats.

“O’Hare is proud to bring our travelers more food and beverage options than ever before,” said CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee. “These new locations at Terminal 3 will enhance the customer experience for millions of passengers from all around the world served every year. With O’Hare’s expansion on the horizon, we are committed to many more high quality food and beverage locations and a class travel experience for every passenger choosing to fly to Chicago-O’Hare.”

Burger Federation and Starbucks are directly across from Gates L20-24, located on the new 41,000 square foot L concourse extension known as the “L-Stinger.” Opened last spring, the expansion delivered the first new gates to O’Hare airport in more than 25 years, and kicked off a series of improvements that passengers can look forward to in the next decade as O’Hare undergoes its biggest expansion yet.

These improvements are part of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s O’Hare 21 vision to modernize the airport by building more efficient, higher capacity facilities to support a modern, growing O’Hare. In addition to new food and dining choices, the O’Hare 21 expansion will deliver additional square footage to increase amenities for travelers on every concourse, increase gate capacity by 25 percent, and further expand Chicago’s leading connectivity.
