The Aviation Job Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Olive-Harvey College, 10001 S. Woodlawn Ave., in the main building on the east side of the campus. Jobseekers will have the opportunity to meet with aviation professionals and leading companies in the industry to network, explore career paths and discover the latest trends in the aviation industry.

“Connecting Chicagoans to job opportunities is a top priority, and I applaud the collaboration between the Chicago Department of Aviation and City Colleges to host the Aviation Job Fair,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “This initiative not only aligns with our vision for a city where diverse partnerships foster opportunities, but it also underscores our commitment to ensuring every resident, regardless of background or experience, can access the wealth of possibilities within the aviation industry.”

“I’m proud to work with City Colleges to connect Chicagoans of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience to the countless job opportunities at O’Hare and Midway International Airports,” CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee said. “All of us at the CDA are committed to Mayor Brandon Johnson’s vision of a Chicago where business, philanthropy, community, faith-based leaders and labor work together to connect every young person to an opportunity to fulfill their potential.”

The job fair is free and open to recent graduates, mid-career professionals and anyone interested in pursuing a career in aviation. Online registration is open now, and walk-ins will be welcome on the day of the event.

Employers will be conducting interviews on-site. Attendees interested in applying for jobs should bring copies of their resume and a government-issued photo ID.

In addition to the job fair, the CDA will host its second O’Hare Airport Concessions Symposium Feb. 15 at the Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel. The symposium, titled “How to Finance a Concession Business,” will connect entrepreneurs with banks looking to work with small businesses, and teach attendees the ins-and-outs of financing concessions businesses.
