Four Seasons Resort Nevis Premieres on Tennis Channel TV’s Destination West Indies Segment

Travellers can tune in this season to follow tips from favourite tennis experts as they hit the scene in St. Kitts & Nevis

Nevis, West Indies, Caribbean – 2012-11-19 — /travelprnews.com/ — Tennis lovers can tune in to the Tennis Channel’s Destination Tennis series this season for a virtual visit to one of the Caribbean’s best-kept secrets: St. Kitts & Nevis. Destination Tennis TV Host Mayleen Ramey and Peter Burwash International (PBI) Pro Chris Myrold meet their match on the courts at Four Seasons Resort Nevis.

Seasoned player Ramey, who took up tennis at age three, admits that she had a tip or two to learn from Myrold during her journey to combine her two greatest passions in life: tennis and travel. Viewers can follow along as Ramey takes lessons, challenges Myrold on the court and learns the PBI philosophy that Myrold calls “a common sense approach to teach players to be their own coach.”

Ramey then balances her tennis game with some leisure as she explores the beautiful twin islands of St. Kitts & Nevis with the determination of a champion to unlock their hidden treasures. Travellers will join Ramey on an adventure jeep tour of Nevis, followed by a visit to the famous Caribelle Batik factory in St. Kitts, where women closely guard the technique honed by generations to create beautiful fabrics of art woven into sarongs, tunics and scarves. At Four Seasons Resort Nevis, Ramey slips out of tennis gear and into something a little more comfortable in the forms of a batik beach wrap and a Spa robe. She enjoys what islanders call the “lime,” enjoying some relaxing downtime at Nevis’ famed Pinney’s Beach and the Resort’s scenic garden Spa with meditative views of the island’s inspiring volcanic mountain, Nevis Peak.

To tune into Destination Tennis on the Tennis Channel, viewers in the US can join the journey via broadcast TV, as per schedule below, or view the segment following the November 18, 2012 premiere online. Visitors to the Tennis Channel website site can just click on the tab: Full Episodes – then click on West Indies to enjoy.

This classic sport is a great family activity as well as a great way to let off steam with your colleagues for some friendly competition.” One of his best tips is practical and perhaps not as technical as ones dispensed by the Resort’s PBI tennis pros: “I always tell guests to enjoy tennis after dark on the five courts we have lit for night play along with the cool evening breezes we fondly know as the West Indies trade winds.”
