The launch also represents the company’s 500th select-service hotel in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and introduces the first resort under the Four Points by Sheraton brand in Africa.
Located above Laginha Beach in the cultural centre of Mindelo on São Vicente Island, the resort combines leisure-focused amenities with practical facilities suited to both business and holiday travellers. The property’s position within a crescent-shaped bay offers direct access to the beach and panoramic ocean views, placing guests in close proximity to one of the island’s most vibrant urban destinations.

The resort features 127 guest rooms and suites designed to reflect the island’s atmosphere, combining modern functionality with locally inspired elements such as handcrafted lighting, patterned tiles, and natural textures. Interiors draw inspiration from Mindelo’s architectural heritage, musical traditions, and coastal lifestyle, creating a space that balances authenticity with contemporary design.
Art and cultural expression are central to the property’s identity, with a curated collection that includes works by artist Raya Salman and photographer Joe Wuerfel, alongside pieces from Cape Verdean artists, reinforcing the connection to the destination’s creative heritage.
Guests can access Laginha Beach directly via a skybridge, while the resort also offers an infinity-edge pool, a poolside bar, and multiple dining venues. These include Bayview for all-day international cuisine, Ocean Lounge as a social hub, and a rooftop Skybar offering panoramic views of the coastline.
