LUTON, England, 2019-Mar-11 — /Travel PR News/ — easyJet, Europe’s leading airline has today (MAR 07, 2019)  announced that it will base five new aircraft in Manchester from this summer in a significant increase in its investment in the North West. In addition, easyJet is also announcing the launch of four new routes from Manchester to Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, Kalamata in Greece, Bari in Italy and Nice in France.

The addition of the new routes comes after a significant year of growth for the easyJet network at Manchester Airport, with a total of 12 new routes being launched over the last 12 months. easyJet’s new route to Jerez de la Frontera starts on 17 August 2019 and will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on an A319 aircraft. The route is expected to be popular among those looking to enjoy a true taste of the Mediterranean with beautiful weather, tapas, wine and flamenco dancing being important features of local culture. Fares will start from £24.25 per person. Kalamata flights will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays commencing 15 June 2019on an A320 aircraft. This will appeal to those looking to enjoy luscious sandy beaches and a vibrant nightlife, both of which are offered by the capital of Messinia. Fares will start from £23.24 per person. Flights to Bari will commence 17 August 2019operating twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays on an A319 aircraft. Bari offers a lively city backdrop, entrenched in culture and incredible architecture. Fares will start from £21.22 per person. Flights to Nice will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays on an A320 aircraft commencing on 16 June 2019 It is expected to be a hit with those looking to enjoy the stunning architecture, iconic seaside promenade and abundant sunshine offered by one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Europe. Fares will start from £19.20 per person.

The four routes will carry over 50,000 passengers this summer with the airline now operating 64 routes and over 26,000 flights a year to and from Manchester. The addition of the new routes means easyJet customers will be able to enjoy direct flights to an even greater variety of destinations next summer.

The airline will also increase the number of flights on its existing route from Manchester to Budapest from twice a week on Mondays and Fridays to three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as adding one extra flight per day on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on its route from Manchester to Belfast.
