Copenhagen Airport, Two new routes to Italy

2012-12-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Italian airline Alitalia is going to launch a service between Rome and Copenhagen, and Air One, a subsidiary of Alitalia, is going to open a summer service between Venice and Copenhagen.

After a seven-year break, Alitalia will resume flights between Copenhagen and Rome on 25 March next year. The new service will be operated all year with two weekly frequencies. This will give Scandinavian and Italian travellers a new non-stop service, which will benefit of both flexibility and fares.

“The new Alitalia service means that four airlines will be offering non-stop flights between the two cities, and no other Nordic airport will have such good connections to the Italian capital. This is yet another sign of our position as the key transport hub of northern Europe,” said Carsten Nørland, VP, Sales and Marketing for Copenhagen Airport.

In addition to the service to Rome, access to northern Italy will also improve when Air One, a member of the Alitalia Group, launches its new service to Venice. This will be a summer service with three weekly flights from June to September.
