CHRIS Brings Back the Meet the Opportunity Sessions

2013-03-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — The upcoming Caribbean Hotel & Resort Investment Summit (CHRIS) will bring back the popular Meet the Opportunity sessions in a new and improved format.  This year’s conference will be held on May 6-7, 2013, at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami hotel in Miami, Florida, USA.  CHRIS is hosted by Burba Hotel Network (BHN).

Meet the Opportunity will be held for the first time as part of the CHRISopening plenary session and will showcase some of the Caribbean’s newest and most interesting projects.  At these sessions, government agencies (IPA’s, Ministries of Tourism, Commerce Departments, etc.) and private sector project representatives will be presenting hotel projects in early stages of development, to the CHRIS delegates.  To date, the projects being showcased include:

  • Bahamas – The Grand Bahama Development Opportunity
  • Dominica – The Cabrits Hotel & Spa
  • Dominican Republic – Boca Chavon Marina
  • Grenada – Levera Resort
  • Jamaica – Rose Hall Developments Ltd.
  • Montserrat – Little Bay, Montserrat
  • Sint Eustatius – The Quill of Statia
  • St. Kitts & Nevis – La Valle Greens
  • St. Lucia – Jade Sea
  • U.S. Virgin Islands – Quelbe Rainforest Resort and Eco-Retreat

Following the presentations, delegates will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the project representatives during Meet the Opportunity Hour.

CHRIS is the Caribbean’s most important hotel and tourism investment conference.  The conference immediately precedes a second important event, the Hotel Opportunities Latin America (HOLA) conference.  The back-to-back nature of the two events is a great way for the hotel investment community that is interested not only in the Caribbean, but also in Latin America, to conduct their business while in Miami.
