With approximately 100 trainees, airberlin technik is one of the largest training providers in the Dusseldorf region. airberlin technik GmbH offers training in the following professions: Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic, Aviation Systems Electrician, and Office Administrator.

“With each new apprenticeship, we invest in the future of young people and the future of the company. Developing new talent is the basis on which we will continue to build in future to ensure the highest standards of aircraft maintenance and refitting,” said Tobias Hundhausen, airberlin technik Senior Vice President of Production and Accountable Manager at today’s welcome. On their first day, the new students were shown their new workplace during a tour of the airberlin technik maintenance hangar in Dusseldorf.

Dusseldorf is of particular importance as one of the main airberlin hubs. In April 2009, airberlin’s Hangar 7 opened as the largest airport hangar in North Rhine-Westphalia. Here, airberlin technik provides maintenance services in Line Maintenance in addition to extensive refitting work in Base Maintenance. The broad range of airberlin technik services in Dusseldorf is also utilised by other airlines such as Etihad Airways, Emirates Delta Air Lines and Sun Express.
