Zurich Airport, important news about the winter timetable

2012-10-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — When the clocks change on Sunday 28 October 2012, the winter timetable at Zurich Airport will also go into effect and be valid until 30 March 2013. There are several new developments in the airport’s attractive route network.

Swiss International Air Lines (LX)

From 29 November 2012 to 5 May 2013 SWISS will increase the number of flights to Miami from seven to eleven per week. Since the summer the airline has also served San Francisco and Newark daily (previously six flights per week) as well as Beijing (previously five flights per week).

Air Dolomiti (EN)

Air Dolomiti has been flying up to twice daily to Verona since 1 July 2012 as part of a code-sharing agreement with SWISS.

Alitalia (AZ)

Alitalia is returning to Zurich: from 29 October 2012 the airline will offer a twice-daily service to Rome.

Croatia Airlines (OU)

Croatia Airlines now flies directly to Dubrovnik twice a week in the winter, too.

Edelweiss Air (WK)

The airline will continue to fly to Funchal (Madeira) every Sunday during the winter. The Tampa, Florida destination added in May 2012 will likewise be served during the winter. Flights to Tampa depart on Friday with return service arriving in Zurich on Saturday morning.

Eurolot (K2)

Eurolot commenced services to Krakow in June 2012. Owing to strong demand, the airline is now increasing the frequency of its flights from three to five a week. The airline now offers services on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Helvetic Airways (2L)

As in summer, the airline will fly to Bristol three times a week. Helvetic Airways will serve southern Italy and Sicily over Christmas and New Year. During the same period (15 December 2012 to 5 January 2013) there will also be flights to Brindisi, Lamezia Terme and Catania.

Niki (HG)

Niki now offers 23 flights per week to Vienna instead of 20.
