Zurich Airport announces the start of the new winter timetable

ZURICH, Switzerland, 2017-Oct-25 — /Travel PR News/ — The switch to winter time on October 29, 2017 also marks the start of the new winter timetable at Zurich Airport. The timetable will run up to and including March 24, 2018. In addition, winter opening hours will apply for the observation decks and public bus tours.

This winter, passengers will be able to fly from Zurich directly to 137 destinations in 63 countries around the world, following various additions to the flight timetable. For example, Swiss International Air Lines is expanding its European route network by flying to Wrocław (Breslau) three times a week. Edelweiss is expanding its services to North American destinations, with a weekly flight to Orlando from 16 January 2018. Throughout the 2017/2018 winter timetable, it will also continue the non-stop flights to Cancún (Mexico) and San José (Costa Rica) it introduced in summer. In addition, Germania is adding the destinations of Tenerife and Sharm el-Sheik to its route network.

Winter opening hours for observation decks and winter tour offering
The move to the winter timetable also means a change to the opening hours of observation deck B at Zurich Airport and the public bus tours available. While observation deck B will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. between October 29, 2017 and March 24, 2018, the observation deck E will remain closed for the winter months. Public bus tours will only be available on Sundays over the winter. Further information on opening hours is available at https://www.zurich-airport.com/observation-decks.

The detailed winter flight timetable can be found at https://www.zurich-airport.com/flight-timetable. Passengers travelling to the United States are still advised to arrive at the airport three hours before departure of their flight.
