Wizz Air UK marks its first anniversary with the launch of two new services to Bergen and Thessaloniki

BUDAPEST, Hungary, 2019-Jul-03 — /Travel PR News/ — Wizz Air UK, the UK-based, wholly-owned subsidiary airline of Wizz Air Holdings Plc. (“Wizz Air”), today (JUL 2, 2019) celebrates the first anniversary of its launch, with the start of two new services to Bergen in Norway and Thessaloniki in Greece from its London Luton base.

This summer, Wizz Air UK is set to become the largest airline at London Luton Airport, with 41%* market share. WIZZ currently has over 8.5 million seats on sale on its 59 low-fare London Luton routes, representing 22% growth year on year.

Since launching in the summer of 2018, Wizz Air UK’s ultra-efficient fleet of Airbus A320 and Airbus A321 aircraft has grown from one based aircraft to 11, supporting approximately 8,000** jobs in the local area.
