Thanksgiving treats will served from the kitchen hearth and visitors can partake in old fashioned ornament making and wreath decorating. Loaded Turkey Rail Jam
Nov. 18
This year, Killington kicks off the season with a rail jam, good ol’ Thanksgiving style. That’s right, there’s a turkey as the grand prize along with all the fixings for second and third place winners! Middlebury College Community Chorus
Nov. 18

Thanksgiving Weekend at Billings Farm & Museum
Nov. 23 – 25
The Billings Farm & Museum is open for Thanksgiving festivities from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Voted a Top 10 Winter Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, the weekend will feature traditional cooking in the farmhouse, pressing cider, horse-drawn wagon rides, farm tours, and hands-on harvest and food preservation activities and programs for every age. www.billingsfarm.org

Putney Open Studio Tour
Nov. 23-25
The 34th annual Thanksgiving weekend tradition of Vermont’s Artisan Trail Open Studio Tour in Putney includes 28 artisans: blacksmiths, glass blowers, potters, jewelers, weavers, woodworkers – even cheesemakers. Slow down in this beautiful setting and take a self-guided tour. Bellows Falls & Walpole Artisan Tour
Nov. 23-25
Regional studio artists open their studios to the public all Thanksgiving weekend. Several multi-media artists will have work on display and available for purchase at 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, Vt., as well as other open studios in neighboring towns Alstead and Walpole, Nh. Gobble Wobbles and Turkey Trots: While several ski resorts will be open for skiing and riding, you can also enjoy a fun run at Killington and Stratton Mountain Resort on November 22 and the Trot It Off 5k & Tots’ Trot at Okemo Mountain Resort on Nov. 24. These community races are fun for avid runners or recreational walkers hoping to burn off those extra helpings of green bean casserole and pumpkin pie.
