Total Revenue Of Aeroflot Group For 12 Months Exceeds The Result For 12 Months 2011 By 60%

Moscow, 2013-05-01 — /travelprnews.com/ — Revenue of Aeroflot Group for 12 months 2012 according to IFRS totaled 253,039.0 mln Rubles exceeding the result for 12 months 2011 by 60%.

In execution of the Federal Law № 402-FZ “On book keeping” the reporting currency for consolidated financial statements for the year 2012 is Russian Ruble.

Traffic revenue amounted to 221,327.4 mln Rubles. Operating profit totaled 11,118.4 mln Rubles. Net income of Aeroflot Group for 12 months of 2012 totaled 5,169.5 mln Rubles.

The primary version of Aeroflot Group consolidated financial statements for 12 months 2012 is the version denominated in Russian Rubles. Consolidated financial statements denominated in US Dollars should be viewed as secondary and are provided only for investment community convenience.

Consequently, total revenue of Aeroflot Group for 12 months 2012 according to IFRS denominated in US Dollars increased by 51% and totaled $8,138 mln.

Traffic revenue grew by 59% and amounted to $7,118 mln. The increase in revenue in 2012 was mainly caused by growth of the Group’s operations volume. EBITDA totaled $671 mln. Operating profit for 12 months 2012 amounted to $358 mln.

Net income of Aeroflot Group for 12 months 2012 totaled $166 mln which is 66% lower than the result for 12 months 2011. The main reasons behind the difference between 2012 and 2011 results are: significant gains in 2011 due to sale of Aeroflot’s stakes in subsidiaries and affiliates, and consolidation of the results of the airlines acquired from SC “Rostec” in 2011 which did not reach break-even yet.
