The Hay-Adams announces the appointment of Ahmet Hacikara as the Director of Restaurants

WASHINGTON, D.C., 2014-9-10 — /Travel PR News/ — The Hay-Adams, one of the world’s leading luxury hotels, is pleased to announce that Ahmet Hacikara has joined the team as Director of Restaurants. In this role, the international hospitality professional will be in charge of the hotel’s Lafayette Restaurant, Off The Record Lounge, and in-room dining.

Hacikara, who holds a BA in American Studies from University of Dokuz Eylul in Izmir, Turkey and a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech, comes to The Hay-Adams from the Onyria Claros Spa & Beach Resort in Izmir, Turkey where he was Food & Beverage Manager, overseeing the openings and operations of a total of 21 restaurants, bars, snack shops and nightclub in the 504-room resort. He was also Food & Beverage Service Manager at Kempinski Bodrum in Mugla, Turkey where he not only managed 5 restaurants and other outlets, but also supervised a staff of more than 80 while in charge of scheduling, budgeting, cost controlling and training.

Previously, Hacikara held hospitality positions in the Washington, DC area including Director of Outlets at Omni Shoreham as well as Banquet Manager, among other positions, at the Willard Intercontinental.

In his new role, Hacikara will also develop and implement new marketing initiatives, assist with the development of new menus with the culinary department as well as scheduling of special events, and manage budgets and staffing, among additional operational duties.
