The Bulleit Bourbon Canadian National BBQ Championships returns to Whistler Blackcomb August 4-6

WHISTLER, British Columbia, 2017-Jul-28 — /Travel PR News/ —Competitors will throw down at the sauciest BBQ battle in the Pacific Northwest for the 16th consecutive year. The Bulleit Bourbon Canadian National BBQ Championships returns to Whistler Blackcomb August 4-6.

“The Bulleit Bourbon Canadian National BBQ Championships give Dusty’s the opportunity to showcase all things BBQ related from the culture, the equipment, and especially the food and beverages,” says Joshua Kearns, food and beverage general manager at Whistler Blackcomb. “Guests can spend all day sampling incredible BBQ at the competition while listening to great music and live entertainment.”

Entering into its second year, the You Be The Judge! Bulleit Bourbon BBQ Sauce Contest is open to all guests in which a blind taste test will determine the real sauce boss of Whistler. Additional competitions include the Ravenswood Cork & Pork Competition taking place on Sunday, August 6 with the judging being done in front of the public on the Dusty’s Bar & BBQ patio.

The activities begin on Friday, August 4 with the ticketed all-you-can-eat ribs extravaganza, Whole Lotta Ribs. The dinner event will be followed by the opening band of the Bulleit Barn Burner Concert series, Whole Lotta Led playing at 10:00 pm.

Not to be outdone, the Bottomless BBQ Buffet takes place on Saturday, August 5 featuring Dusty’s famous smoke brisket, Kansas City style smoked chicken, pulled pork, Dusty’s famous smoked ribs and all the fixings. Local band, Those Guys, will be following up this all-you-can-eat feast in the second installment of the Bulleit Barn Burner Concert series beginning at 10:00pm as well.
