2012-07-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — Sheremetyevo reported on its financial / economic activities in 2011 in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
According to the results of an audit of consolidated financial statements according to IFRS, the total earnings of JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport (JSC SIA) including JSC Terminal in 2011 amounted to 11 billion 415 million rubles, which is 19.52% more than the figure for 2010.
The net income of JSC SIA in 2011, according to IFRS, increased by 56.25% and amounted to 2 billion 172 million rubles. The company’s assets increased by 85.24%, to 60 billion 968 million rubles.
The value of the current ratio in relation to liabilities for servicing the credit issued by HSH Nordbank AG for December 31st, 2011 amounted to 5.35 (including earnings received from the sale of shares in CJSC TZK Sheremetyevo).
It must be noted that JSC SIA was reorganized in April 2012 via adding JSC Terminal to the company. An agreement on adding JSC Terminal to JSC SIA was approved on December 13th, 2011. For this purpose, the registered capital of JSC SIA was increased from 1,910,457,320 rubles to 2,300,701,087 rubles via the placement of 390,243,767 additional ordinary registered uncertified shares, with a nominal cost of 1 ruble each. The method of placing the shares was conversion.
Sheremetyevo International Airport is the largest Russian airport which handles internal and international airlines. 83,04% of the shares of JSC SIA belong to the state represented by Federal Property Management Agency. Sheremetyevo Airport’s network of routes includes more than 200 destinations.
In 2011, Sheremetyevo’s total passenger traffic was 22,555,000 people, which is 16.7% more than in 2010.
In 2010 airport Sheremetyevo became a leader in the increasing of passenger traffic among the European airports, the airport handled 19,329,000 passengers, which is 31% more than in 2009.
According to the results of the quality research program in the world airports ASQ ACI (Airport Service Quality) airport Sheremetyevo was reckoned among 10 top best European airports in 2011.
Based on the annual rating of Skytrax Research company (Great Britain), Sheremetyevo International Airport is one of the three best airports in Eastern Europe in terms of quality of service.
