Chef Daniel Calvert and Chef Natsuko Shoji join hands once again for a superb celebration of French fine dining
Tokyo, Japan, 2022-Jul-07 — /Travel PR News/ — SÉZANNE restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi is set to celebrate its one-year anniversary with an exclusive gastronomic journey.
On July 31, 2022, Michelin-starred chef and culinary visionary Daniel Calvert will host a special collaboration at SÉZANNE with Natsuko Shoji, Asia’s Best Female Chef and owner of été, one of Tokyo’s most exclusive and loved French fine dining restaurants.
SÉZANNE x été
The four-hand collaboration invites guests to savour specialties from both restaurants. Chef Daniel’s classically rooted modern French cuisine meets Chef Natsuko’s artful and minimalist French fare to create a sublime dining experience.
Ever since the two award-winning chefs teamed up for the first SÉZANNE X été event in 2021, epicures in Tokyo have been looking forward to a second edition. Available for one day only, the celebration menu will be served for lunch and dinner, priced at JPY 63,000 per guest (inclusive of taxes and service charge).
Diners can elevate their meal with an eclectic curation of Champagnes and wines, available for an additional charge. The six-seater Private Dining Room may be reserved for dinner.
“Teaming up with Chef Natsuko has been an incredible experience for me,” says Chef Daniel. “When I think of chefs who really push the boundaries of fine dining, she is on the shortlist. She has a rare ability to draw inspiration from all kinds of beautiful things, from seasonal produce to high fashion.”
A Year of Accolades
SÉZANNE has enjoyed a glittering first year of operations, picking up some of the most coveted honours in the world of gastronomy. On July 5, 2022 the restaurant was awarded the #82 spot among The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022 51-100. It is also ranked at #17 among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022, along with holding a Michelin star.
Meet the Chefs
From a commuter town in England to star-studded kitchens in London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong, Chef Daniel’s self-propelled rise to stardom is the stuff of dreams. He crossed the Atlantic to hone his skills as sous chef at Per Se in New York City, followed by a placement at Epicure at Le Bristol in Paris – both reputed establishments with 3 Michelin stars. Working across multiple culinary capitals has made Daniel an open-minded chef, with a willingness to embrace versatile cultural influences.
Chef Natsuko was crowned Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2022 and Asia’s Best Pastry Chef in 2020 – the first-ever cook to win both titles. Natsuko is the brainchild behind été, a culinary gem located in Shibuya ward and ranked #42 among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022.
