Saint Louis Zoo, Mid-America Chevy Dealers sealed a multi-year partnership that will help conserve animals at home and around the world

2013-03-28 — /travelprnews.com/ — Mid-America Chevy Dealers, representing 33 Missouri and Illinois Chevy dealers, have sealed a multi-year partnership with the Saint Louis Zoo that will help conserve animals at home and around the world.

The partnership includes opportunities for showcasing Chevy vehicles on Zoo grounds and at some of the Zoo’s most well-known events. Among the cars being shown will be great family products, including the Chevrolet Cruze, Malibu, Traverse, Volt and the all-new 2014 Silverado.

“This partnership helps the Zoo continue to offer high quality care for animals here and to help conserve wild things in wild places in Missouri and around the world,” said Jeffrey P. Bonner, Ph.D., Dana Brown President & CEO. “With the support of a great brand like Chevy, the Zoo can offer even more opportunities for millions of visitors to experience, enjoy and learn about nature.”

“There’s never been a better time to own a Chevy, and we are very excited to showcase our newly redesigned portfolio of vehicles to the community,” said Kathy Schmitt-Federico, President of the Mid-America Chevy Dealers. “Our dealer association is proud and excited to establish a partnership with one of the area’s most beloved and visited institutions and to help support its conservation mission.”

Some partnership features include Chevy serving as the pace car sponsor of Make Tracks for the Zoo, the annual run/walk fundraiser that since its inception in 1986 has attracted more than 30,000 runners and walkers. Set for Sunday, May 19, Make Tracks offers a St. Louis Track Club-sanctioned 5K run/walk, a one-mile run/walk through Forest Park, and a one-mile Kids Fun run.

The Chevy Music Showcase will also be the presenting sponsor of the Zoo’s popular Jungle Boogie summer concert series on Fridays, May 24-Aug. 30, from 5-7 p.m. in the center of the Zoo. A year-round program designed to shine a spotlight on the local music scene, the Showcase profiles local artists and venues, and gives music lovers unique access to their favorite local bands. Presented by the Mid-America Chevy Dealers, all Chevy Music Showcase content is available at ChevyMusicShowcase.com and YouTube.com/ChevyMusicStLouis.

In addition to having Zoo visitors learn about a brand new lineup of fuel efficient, safe and stylish Chevy vehicles at the various Zoo events, we will be creating unique promotional opportunities that will allow visitors to the Zoo to experience the vehicles both on site at the Zoo and at the Dealerships.
