Qatar Airways Privilege Club’s Platinum members can now access HIA’s exclusive Al Safwa First Class Lounge

The award-winning airline is pleased to offer its valued Platinum Privilege Club members access to the exclusive Al Safwa First Class Lounge at Hamad International Airport (HIA) when travelling in Business Class

DOHA, Qatar, 2019-Oct-18 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Airways’ award-winning frequent flyer programme (FFP) Privilege Club, is delighted to announce that its Platinum members can now access HIA’s exclusive Al Safwa First Class Lounge when flying Business Class with up to two guest passes.

As part of the airline’s continuous commitment to service excellence, Platinum-tier Privilege Club members travelling Business Class with Qatar Airways can now enjoy the Al Safwa five-star experience at HIA, which includes delectable a la carté fine dining, state-of-the-art media and business facilities and a tranquil spa.

The Al Safwa First Class Lounge is a gleaming example of Arabian grandeur and elite exclusivity in a refined setting. Recognised as one of the World’s best First Class Lounges, this deluxe facility is based on level three of concourse B at HIA, is designed to offer a luxurious and culturally enriching premium experience for customers. From its unique design, which draws influence from ancient Islamic architecture, to its ultramodern range of facilities, Al Safwa First Class Lounge is an oasis of comfort, style and luxury.

Previously Platinum Privilege Club members were only able to access the HIA lounge applicable to their cabin of travel, with their guest entitlement restricted to use of the dedicated FFP lounges – the First Class and Business Class lounges.

Privilege Club launched in 2000 as a form of appreciation to Qatar Airways’ loyal passengers, offering them the opportunity to earn Qmiles when travelling on Qatar Airways, oneworld® airlines, or any of the airlines’ partners. Qmiles has since served as another convenient means of payment at the award-winning Qatar Duty Free outlets, located in both the departure and arrival halls of Hamad International Airport, and at Oryx Galleria in Doha.

Platinum level is the premier tier of membership available in Qatar Airways’ award-winning Privilege Club frequent flyer programme. Membership benefits include a range of online booking and Qatar Duty Free (QDF) shopping discounts, extra Qcredits, a generous additional baggage allowance and 100 per cent Qmiles mileage bonus on all eligible flights.

Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of more than 250 aircraft via its hub HIA, to more than 160 destinations worldwide, and has recently launched an array of exciting new destinations, including Rabat, Morocco; Izmir, Turkey; Malta; Davao, Philippines; Lisbon, Portugal; and Mogadishu, Somalia.
