PHOENIX, 2013-03-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Summertime at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort means both pool time and fun time that can’t be had anywhere else. From superheroes and aliens to sports stars, families will be transported to a fantasy world at the property’s “Summer of Imagination.”
From May 28 to August 31, The River Ranch will be transformed into an imaginary land for both children and adults with various themes for each month, including superheroes, science fiction and sports. Families are invited to enjoy complimentary activities connected to the month’s theme, as well as dress the part.
“Our River Ranch is already known as a great family destination, but this summer, we are taking things to the next level,” said Bryan Deutsch, Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak’s River Ranch Manager. “What child doesn’t enjoy a great excuse to dress up and play makebelieve? With the ‘Summer of Imagination,’ we are encouraging our guests to join us in a fantasy world, dress in costumes and enjoy all the fun games, crafts and snacks centered around the theme.”
During the month of June, the River Ranch goes SciFi. During the week, the science fiction theme will be prevalent in the games, activities and snacks, which include cosmic putt-putt golf, green slime sno-cones and making spacecrafts to take home. The week climaxes with classic futuristic movies and some new favorites, including “Despicable Me,” “Back to the Future” and “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.”
In July, the River Ranch will be the safest place in Phoenix with superheroes coming to the rescue for the month’s theme. Featuring movies such as “Captain America,” “The Incredibles” and “Spiderman,” children will enjoy crafts like making superhero capes and Captain America shields. Guests can gain great strengths while enjoying the River Ranch’s super human snacks, a mix of tasty delights and healthy treats.
The River Ranch gets sporty in August, featuring baseball and football training camps and mini tournaments, both on land and in the water. The All-American sports inspired the River Ranch chefs to serve home-made Cracker Jacks and feature a classic hot dog cart. The Friday night dive-in movies will include “The Rookie,” “A League of their Own,” “The Blind Side” and “Remember the Titans.”
To complement the “Sumer of Imagination,” Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak is offering its “SummerSplash” rates from $109 per night for suite stays with a seven day in advance booking.
