The highlight of the evening was an intimate, exclusive performance by Beijing-born piano virtuoso Yuja Wang, the latest celebrity to join the Mandarin Oriental Group’s renowned Fan Campaign. Fellow celebrity fans Chen Kun, Karen Mok, and Vivienne Tam also attended the elegant event, alongside Xu Bing, the influential Chinese artist who designed the hotel’s signature fan.
Set within the historic setting of a traditional Beijing hutong, guests enjoyed Yuja Wang’s captivating concert and were later treated to a celebration of gourmet cuisine. Michelin-starred consultant Chef Fei, along with the hotel’s Executive Chef Ping, prepared a range of elegant canapés inspired by Beijing’s culinary traditions. The event also featured a selection of fine champagnes, wines, and innovative cocktails from the hotel’s TIAO Bar.
