Mandarin Oriental, Doha offers guests a silent retreat on 11 December 2019

Hongkong, China, 2019-Nov-19 — /Travel PR News/ — In our increasingly hectic and urbanised world, silence is a precious commodity, which is why The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Doha is ‘turning down the volume’ and for the first time will offer guests a silent retreat on 11 December 2019. Silent Night is an annual offer available in Mandarin Oriental spa’s worldwide.

On Silent Night, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Doha will offer the normal treatment menu and starting at 6pm the lights will dim, and a hush will fall with no talking and no music within the spa to instill a sense of peace and allow for guests to experience contemplation and mindfulness. All communication will take place in a brief consultation at the beginning of the spa journey.

Guests are encouraged to come alone or to bring a loved one with whom they would like to share an experience of silent connection. The Spa will feature A Silent Retreat Journey where guests can choose to experience from our featured signature therapies Oriental Qi or Digital Wellness Escape.

Oriental Qi immerses guests on a personalised journey inspired by traditional Chinese medicine encompassing a holistic approach to wellness for the body, mind and spirit. The ritual starts by determining the guest’s Chinese element based on the ancient philosophy of balancing the five elements. This signature therapy is designed to focus on pressure points of the meridians to balance energy in the body by using the benefits of elemental oils.

This is also the perfect time to experience the Group’s Digital Wellness initiative. This provides guests with access to a range of wellness advice and activities designed to help them disconnect from technology. A Digital Wellness Escape is the ideal treatment to fully immerse guests on grounding both body and mind and is designed to provide a calming and peaceful respite from the outside world and the stress of repetitive movements. This 1 hour 20-minute experience focuses on the head, eyes, neck, shoulders, hands and feet to restore and ease strains resulting from the frequent use of digital devices.
