Manchester Airport celebrated National Random Acts of Kindness Day with activities and surprises for passengers

Manchester, UK, 2019-Feb-19 — /Travel PR News/ — Yesterday (18 February 2019) Manchester Airport celebrated National Random Acts of Kindness Day, with a host activity across its three terminals.

Dubbed #MANdomActs, the airport surprised hundreds of passengers throughout the day as they jetted off to the Northern hub’s 210 destinations.

Passengers were treated to Fast Track security passes, entry to the airport’s Escape Lounge and a range of goodies like airport “top trump” cards and other items.

Lucky recipients included newlyweds who were jetting off to India, a grandfather and granddaughter, plus a pair heading to Spain for their first holiday in 15 years.

The airport’s social media followers were also able to get in on the action, as free parking passes were given away on Twitter too.

Fiona Wright, Customer Services and Security Director at Manchester Airport, said:

“National Random Acts of Kindness Day has grown in popularity in recent years and so we thought it was a nice idea for our colleagues and customers to join in the celebrations.

“It was great to see the reaction of customers to the activity and hopefully it made the start of their journeys even more exciting.

“We are always looking at ways to add little touches to improve the passenger experience at Manchester Airport and that will continue as we head towards the Summer.

“Longer term we are investing in the airport with our £1bn transformation, which will massively enhance the experience for all of our 28m passengers.”

Growing in popularity each year, National Random Acts of Kindness Day is celebrated by individuals, groups and organisations to encourage kind-heartedness.
