Kenya Airways and Barclays Bank of Kenya Launch KQ Msafiri Visa Credit Card

2012-11-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — Kenya Airways and Barclays Bank of Kenya have partnered with Visa to relaunch a co-branded credit card dubbed KQ Msafiri Visa Credit Card. The KQ Msafiri Visa Credit Card holders will benefit by earning miles on any purchase on Visa points of sale worldwide. The miles will be redeemed for a world of travel rewards on Kenya Airways flights.

Under the partnership, cardholders are entitled to an array of benefits that include: free travel insurance worth up to US$56,500 annually, priority check-in and boarding at airports and seasonal discounted fares and holiday packages. They will also get free SMS alerts on all card purchases and payments, monthly e-statements, Visa Platinum benefits including Global Customer Assistance, purchase and warranty protection of up to USD 20,000 per year, exclusive Visa hotel offers and more reward packages. In addition to this, the cardholders can redeem the earned points for free KQ tickets and class of travel upgrade to various destinations. No joining fees for the card apply.

The card will enable cardholders to earn 3,000 bonus air miles on successful application and first use of the card within 30 days of application. Card users will also earn 1 air mile every time they spend Ksh. 100 at any KQ sales shops or Ksh 200 at any point of sale that accepts Visa cards both locally and internationally.
