Singapore Airlines’ Limited Edition Panda Toy Raises More Than $400,000 For Children With Special Needs

2012-11-29 — /travelprnews.com/ — Singapore Airlines has raised $427,000 for Singapore’s Community Chest, a non-profit organisation that channels funds to assist the less advantaged in the community. A pair of limited edition female and male panda toy collectibles clad in the signature SIA batik motif was produced by the Airline for the initiative.

Fundraising began with a charity drive on 8 September, when SIA Group staff were stationed at six locations across Singapore, where the panda toys were made available for donations of $20 or more. The toy collectibles were then made available for donations on board selected SIA flights through KrisShop.

All funds raised were donated to Community Chest in support of programmes that benefit children with special needs.
