(PRESS RELEASE) JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia, 2026-May-25 — /Travel PR News/ — Raffles Hotels & Resorts has opened Raffles Jeddah, introducing a new luxury landmark along the city’s historic Red Sea Corniche and expanding the brand’s presence in Saudi Arabia’s growing high-end hospitality market.

Set against sweeping views of the Red Sea, Raffles Jeddah combines refined design, curated guest experiences and the brand’s signature butler service to create an elegant retreat in one of the Kingdom’s most vibrant coastal cities. The opening marks an important milestone for Raffles while also strengthening Accor’s wider footprint in Saudi Arabia.

Omer Acar, CEO of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, said the debut in Jeddah reflects the city’s role as a dynamic Red Sea destination shaped by centuries of cultural exchange. He added that the hotel’s opening supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 ambitions and the Kingdom’s development as a global luxury destination.

Located on the Corniche, the hotel places guests close to several of Jeddah’s major attractions and cultural points of interest, including Fakih Aquarium, Al Shalal Theme Park, Red Sea Mall and Boulevard Jeddah. King Abdulaziz International Airport is approximately 25 minutes away by car.

The hotel’s design draws inspiration from Jeddah’s maritime heritage and blends contemporary architecture with traditional Hejazi elements. Features such as mashrabiya screens and carved wood latticework create a play of light and shadow, while the interiors reflect a balance between regional craftsmanship and modern sophistication.

Guestrooms, suites and public spaces were designed by Robert Angell, while the Raffles Spa and wellness areas were created by Tristan Du Plessis. Guests enter through a golden arrival space that nods to the Raffles legacy and the golden age of travel, before reaching a bright lobby where sculptural columns and iridescent surfaces evoke sunlight on the Red Sea.

The hotel also incorporates lace-like wall details inspired by the ornate plasterwork of Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district. A curated collection of contemporary works by Saudi and Middle Eastern artists further connects the property to the region’s cultural identity.

Raffles Jeddah offers 182 guestrooms, including 40 suites, all with uninterrupted Red Sea views. Starting at around 66 square metres, the rooms are among the largest in the city and feature pastel-toned interiors inspired by the changing colours of the sea and sky, along with subtle heritage references and selected artworks.

Fredrik Blomqvist, General Manager of Raffles Jeddah, said the hotel has been designed to celebrate the character of Jeddah while delivering the elegance and highly personalised service associated with the Raffles brand. He noted that the architecture, art, dining and wellness experiences all contribute to a destination that is locally rooted and internationally sophisticated.

Dining is a central part of the hotel’s guest experience. Surl’O, a progressive all-day brasserie overlooking the Red Sea, brings together culinary influences from East and West with sharing-style dishes and contemporary presentation. The venue reflects Jeddah’s evolving dining scene and its waterfront lifestyle.

Atorie Lounge & Patisserie adds a second distinctive culinary concept, combining French pâtisserie with Japanese precision. The experience ranges from morning pastries with flavours such as plum and black sesame to matcha-infused éclairs and a theatrical afternoon tea service presented from a bespoke tea trolley. In the evening, Atorie becomes a refined lounge serving creative mocktails and elegant desserts.

A third signature restaurant concept will be introduced at a later stage, offering a hospitality experience inspired by the rhythm and beauty of the sea. The future venue will draw from the relaxed spirit of the Mediterranean and is designed to provide a calm coastal atmosphere with refined cuisine and understated luxury.

The Raffles Spa and Wellness offering has been created as a serene sanctuary focused on rejuvenation and long-term wellbeing. Separate wellness areas for women and men include treatment rooms, Moroccan hammams, fitness centres and swimming pools, while a private couples’ treatment suite offers shared wellness experiences.

Raffles Jeddah also includes event and meeting facilities suited to both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. The hotel features six meeting rooms, a business centre, a VIP lounge and expansive pre-function areas, along with the Pearl and Crystal Ballrooms, two striking venues suspended above the plaza with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city.

Raffles Jeddah becomes the brand’s second property in Saudi Arabia, joining Raffles Makkah Palace.
