Kansas City International Airport Hosts Hiring Fair to Fill a Wide Range of Positions in New Terminal

Kansas City, MO, 2023-Aug-10 — /Travel PR News/ — The Kansas City Aviation Department is teaming up with several airport partners for the Kansas City International Airport Hiring Fair. It will be held Tuesday, August 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the new airport terminal. Employers will be on hand to interview and hire on the spot, so interested applicants are encouraged to bring a photo ID. That is why it is called a hiring fair as opposed to a job or career fair.

The new $1.5 billion terminal opened in February 2023, serving millions of travelers since then. It takes an extended team of dedicated employees to serve nearly 40,000 travelers per day. A wide range of career options is available, including police officers, traffic controllers, dispatchers, security screeners, cooks, bartenders, retail clerks, managers, customer service, baggage handlers, maintenance mechanics, utility workers, and many more.

Bringing airport jobs and career opportunities to the community! Job seekers should plan to attend and meet with a variety of airport employers hiring NOW. They should bring their resume, valid driver’s license or state ID card, social security card, or birth certificate.

Option 1 – IRIS Service

Book a ride on IRIS direct to KCI

9:30 AM – 2:30 PM – Rides to the KCI International Airport for the hiring event will be free.

Exceptions: The free fare only applies to those traveling to the airport on Aug 15 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, AND rides must be scheduled a minimum of six hours in advance. Book a Ride.

Option 2 – RideKC #229 Bus

Catch the Route #229 bus at the East Village Transit Center, 12th & Charlotte

Ride the Route #229 to KCI International Airport

The Route #229 bus runs once per hour. (schedule attached)

Note: Riders should plan for one-hour travel time to/from the airport.
