30-year veteran Hong Kong chef brings time-honoured Cantonese traditions, dynamic flavours and sophistication to the city’s most coveted new dining destination

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2018-May-09 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur announces the appointment of Jimmy Wong as Executive Chef of Yun House, the Hotel’s signature new Chinese restaurant set to debut mid-2018. An award-winning chef, Wong’s career spans more than 30 years with a focus in Cantonese cuisine. Renowned for his unwavering commitment to quality, Wong brings a wealth of culinary expertise and time-honoured traditions to Yun House, while also infusing artisanal presentations to complement the restaurant’s modern and stylish atmosphere.

A native of Hong Kong, Wong’s career has taken him throughout Asia honing his culinary skills at some of the finest hotels and resorts.  He has held previous positions in Singapore and China, including Hong Kong.  Wong joins Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur most recently from The St. Regis Hotel Singapore where he held the prestigious position of executive Chinese chef, overseeing all culinary operations of Chinese cuisine throughout the hotel.  Prior to that, Wong served as executive Chinese chef at the Shangri-La in Shenzhen in China, overseeing all culinary operations of the hotel’s Chinese cuisine.  In addition to his work in the kitchen, Chef has also won a prestigious television cooking competition broadcast on the popular CCTV-2 Network in Beijing, which featured a contest between top French and Chinese master chefs.

On his move to Kuala Lumpur, Chef Jimmy says, “I’m passionate about all things culinary, specifically as it relates to honouring my culture through the rich flavours, techniques and traditional style of cooking.”  At Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur, Chef Jimmy looks forward to bringing people together through food, by creating distinct offerings, with a modern flare for all to enjoy.
