Qatar Airways resumes key Middle East and India routes to strengthen international connectivity

(IN SHORT) Qatar Airways is resuming daily flights to Bahrain and Kozhikode starting 1 May 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to restore its global network. The move follows recent resumptions of services to Dubai, Sharjah, and Damascus, enhancing connectivity across the Middle East and beyond. The airline is also offering flexible booking options, including free date changes and refunds for eligible passengers, to accommodate potential travel disruptions. The phased network restoration reflects Qatar Airways’ commitment to rebuilding its international operations and improving passenger access worldwide.

(PRESS RELEASE) DOHA, Qatar, 2026-Apr-27 — /Travel PR News/ — Qatar Airways has announced the reinstatement of daily passenger services to Bahrain and Kozhikode, with operations scheduled to resume from 1 May 2026. The move forms part of the airline’s broader strategy to rebuild and expand its global route network.

The return of these routes follows the recent resumption of daily flights to Dubai and Sharjah from 23 April 2026, as well as services to Damascus beginning 1 May 2026. Together, these developments strengthen connectivity across the Middle East and support access to a wider international network.

Through a phased approach, Qatar Airways continues to restore its operations across key global markets, enabling passengers to travel more easily between destinations spanning six continents. The airline is encouraging travelers to regularly check its official communication channels and ensure that their contact details are up to date to receive timely flight updates.

In support of passengers affected by schedule changes, Qatar Airways has introduced flexible travel options. Customers holding tickets issued on or before 30 April 2026, for travel between 28 February and 15 September 2026, are eligible to change their travel dates without additional fees, subject to availability, with rebooking permitted up to 31 October 2026. Refunds for unused tickets are also available in accordance with standard fare conditions, with processing times of up to 28 working days.

For flights that experience disruptions, passengers are entitled to additional flexibility, including fee-free rebooking while retaining their original cabin class, regardless of seasonal fare differences. Full refunds without penalty are also offered in such cases.

Qatar Airways notes that flight schedules may be adjusted or cancelled due to operational, regulatory, or safety considerations. Passengers requiring further assistance are advised to consult the airline’s official support resources.
