Allegiant introduces new nonstop flight to previously unserved market
INDIANAPOLIS, IN, 2019-Nov-26 — /Travel PR News/ — You can get to West Palm Beach nonstop from Indy starting today (Nov. 25, 2019), thanks to the growing presence of Allegiant Air at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The airline will be the first in more than a decade to offer Hoosiers a nonstop flight into the south Florida hotspot that features sunshine and warm temperatures year-round.
Today’s inaugural flight will take off out of Indianapolis at 8:15 a.m. The flight to West Palm Beach will depart out of Indy twice weekly.
This is Allegiant’s second inaugural flight out of Indianapolis this month, following its first nonstop flight from Indianapolis to Tucson on Nov. 14. The flight to West Palm Beach brings Allegiant’s total number of flights out of the Indy airport to 15.
“Allegiant has seen steady growth since it began serving Indianapolis in 2015, and that means growing value for those looking for a low-cost option to reach previously unserved vacation destinations like West Palm Beach and Tucson,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez. “Their continued investments in offering more destinations at fares affordable to more passengers is another reason the Indianapolis International Airport is the best in North America.”
In addition to West Palm Beach, Allegiant offers nonstop flights to Florida markets such as Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Orlando-Sanford, Punta Gorda-Fort Myers, Sarasota and Tampa-St. Petersburg out of Indianapolis. The airline also serves Austin, Charleston, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, New Orleans – and most recently Tucson – all nonstop from Indy. Earlier this year, Allegiant further expanded its crew base operations in Indianapolis with the addition of a third aircraft.
