Enjoy Sweet Treats Throughout The Destination
Hershey, Pa., 2013-08-01 — /travelprnews.com/ — In honor of National S’mores Day on August 10, Hershey The Sweetest Place On Earth is preparing the ultimate S’mores experiences for guests visiting the destination. Visitors can indulge in everything from edible treats to a limited-time spa service.
At Hersheypark, the 110-acre amusement park featuring more than 65 rides and attractions including 11 exhilarating roller coasters, water rides, admission to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park and entertainment offerings, guests can choose from an array of both traditional and non-traditional S’mores treats. Highlights include a S’mores Candy Chaos ice cream, S’mores Cobbler, S’mores Cupcakes, S’mores Funnel Cakes and S’mores Cake Pops, which will be served throughout the month of August.
Guests at The Spa At The Hotel Hershey can choose a S’mores Indulgence Manicure and Pedicure in honor of the celebration from August 1-31. This sweet treat for the hands and feet includes a Butter Brulee milk soak, followed by a Sweet Cream Salt Scrub exfoliant and Sundae Best Chocolate Softening Mask. After perfectly polished nails, the treatment concludes with a Backcountry Caramel Body Milk Lotion massage. The experience lasts approximately one hour and 50 minutes and costs $120* Mondays through Thursdays and $130* Fridays through Sundays.
Hershey Resorts guests also can join in on the fun on August 10. At Hersheypark Camping Resort, guests can participate in a group campfire to make traditional S’mores at its new campfire pit. Meanwhile, guests of The Hotel Hershey can experience special offers including a buy one S’mores packet and get the second free, as well as a S’mores craft at its kids activity house, Cocoa Clubhouse. Guests also can purchase S’mores at Hershey Lodge to participate in its S’mores roast event at 8 p.m. on August 10. To celebrate the national day, the Lodge will provide extra Hershey’s candy for a more chocolaty experience.
Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction will offer additional ways to enjoy S’mores with special desserts for National S’mores Day from August 10-18. In addition to its famous S’mores Cup, Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction will feature S’mores Cupcakes, Chocolate S’mores Sandwich Cookies, S’mores Cookie Bars, Chocolate Dipped S’mores, S’mores Parfaits, S’mores Ice Cream Sundaes and of course, the original S’mores treat.
Visitors to The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue can experience a month long S’mores treat, too. Participate in the S’mores Galore Chocolate Lab class that teaches the origins of this campfire confection while guests make their own, sweet variation of the classic dessert throughout August.
